Commercial Account Manager Job Description

Summary

Alliance Insurance Group is a dynamic, growing, independent insurance agency in Golden, Colorado seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager. This position is full-time Monday thru Friday, though we do close shop an hour early on Fridays. Experience working with multiple carriers and an internal rating system is a plus but not required. A positive can-do attitude is a must. Education in the insurance industry thru CIC programs or CISR programs is highly recommended. 

What do we do? We meet the vast needs of our clientele by packaging superior insurance programs for individuals and businesses with sophisticated insurance needs. We are specialized insurance consultants assisting clients in various areas including, but not limited to: Home, Auto, Fine Arts, Excess Liability, Commercial Property, General Liability, Automobile, Workers Compensation and Professional Liability for all types of businesses and personal insurance customers.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities


Job Type:

Employee – Full Time

Years of Experience:

0 - 10+ Years

Education Level:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Career Level:

3-years minimum previous experience (Non-Managerial)

Salary:

Negotiable by experience

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Great team player
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Aptitude for evaluating and interpreting information
  • Property and Casualty license is required
  • Experience with Applied Systems EPIC is a plus, as well as familiarity with online rating systems of major carriers such as Travelers, Hartford, Liberty Mutual, MetLife., Progressive, State Auto, and Fireman’s Fund

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling and administering customer service calls and inquiries related to Property and Casualty/Life and Health lines of insurance coverage
  • Assisting in the servicing of new business accounts, including issuing quotes and preparing proposals for in-house producers and associate members.
  • Assisting with re-writes and renewals, as well as ensuring that policies are renewed in a timely fashion
  • Attending client meetings and functions to strengthen existing relationships
  • Completing ACORD applications and preparing carrier submissions for in-house producers and associate members.
  • Quoting new and renewal business
  • Processing policies, change requests, endorsements, and audits
  • Processing certificates of insurance and ID cards
  • Ongoing verbal and written communication with clients, both internal and external
