In the last of our series of five blogs on bar and tavern insurance, we discuss business interruption, or business income, coverage.
Business income coverage pays you money while you are unable to be open and making money. Picture this: you’ve had a small fire in the kitchen, and while the repairs are being carried out, you can’t be open for business. You still have bills to pay, the lease, insurance, salaries for key employees that you don’t want to leave for another job. With no money coming in, how long could you hang on? Business income insurance will pay you while you’re not open for business.
It’s truly tragic when a business owner incurs unnecessary expenses and/or loses their business due to failure to ensure that proper insurance coverage is in place. Take ten minutes to evaluate your coverage to better protect your investment and your livelihood.
